Artist Statement
My photography is an in-depth look at distilling nature into its most basic forms. I look for clean lines, simple geometries, and repeating patterns within environments. By reducing seemingly disordered landscapes to minimal shapes, a better appreciation for the features of the natural world is found. In this set of photos, I observe humbling phenomena: the destruction of wildfire, the regrowth of nature, and the grandeur of the cosmic timescale.
