Described by National Geographic as “The wildest Place in America”, the Great Bear Rainforest, is certainly one of the most pristine places on earth I have ever visited. I was ravished by the forest, its inhabitants and their voices. I was bewitched by the elusiveness of the Spirit Bear and the cry of the eagles and, at the same time, I was horrified to know that someone is planning to violate this sacred land by building a huge pipeline and shipping oil in supertankers through pristine waterways. As environmental photographers it is our duty to capture the beauty of places at risk and spread a message trough our images.
