The world set its attention on Rio de Janeiro during the Summer 2016 Olympics, but with the cameras gone, locals have little faith that social and environmental conditions will improve. Guanabara Bay seems doomed to become a lifeless cesspool, except for the dedication of a few Cariocas, whose efforts give hope for a brighter future.
