Hemp – it’s not just for hippies anymore. Today they’re using it in everything from salad dressings to buildings. Despite the inevitable jokes, industrial hemp is actually a non-psychoactive plant, grown in 31 other countries, but prohibited to farm in the U.S.A. where it could be a money-making crop for farmers and create jobs. So why can’t we grow it here? BRINGING IT HOME explores hemp’s benefits, past, present and future with animation, archival footage and interviews with business owners using it for healthy construction, textiles, nutrition, soaps and bio-plastics the U.S.A and abroad.
