Artist Statement

My paintings reflect my feelings and observations of my environment. I have been exploring habitats, as there is always more than meets the eye. What biological magic conspired to create what I see? The energy of what is is beneath it all far exceeds the growth we view above. In these fragile times I look carefully at what supports life, and what creates renewal. How does earth heal herself? What can I learn?
