Artist Statement

In my drawing (and ceramics etc.) I’ve always tried to connect to some sort of recognizable human experience, which to me always seemed completely intertwined with nature. The complexity and adaptability of nature can be experienced in every tree branch, river, and living organism, especially if one dares to peak beyond personal thought and identity for an instant. For me, therefore the theme “Currents of Hope” is inherent to nature itself, and my hope is that my work conveys that a little.
