SYRCL’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival is proud to present 2020’s student art exhibit, now online! Wild & Scenic Film Festival and art exhibitions aim to increase awareness of the intersection between arts and the environment in order to inspire people to take action in their own communities. This year we are excited to showcase youth activism through art to demonstrate the great work that local students can do to help further this message.
Students from Yuba and Nevada County were encouraged to submit their environmentally-themed art this spring to be displayed at SYRCL’s State of the Yuba event. However, we are happy to pivot and bring you the beauty of their submissions digitally this summer. Starting June 15th, all student art pieces will be available for viewing on Wild & Scenic’s website through August 15th.
If you’re looking for more engagement with our wonderful student artists, join us for the exhibit opening June 15th via Facebook Live! We will have our artists on speaking about their pieces, and an opportunity for you to see the art displayed in a more dynamic fashion than just the online gallery. Schedule of artists to follow.
Have a piece you would like to submit? The deadline has been extended to June 1st! Click here to submit.
