Thou Canst Ever Return is a hand animated watercolor short film which explores the movements and sounds of wet landscapes and their loss. The film uses a sequence of animated snapshots to create a narrative, using places and events which may feel familiar or distant, to connect universal issues related to water and wet landscapes.
Dexter Clifford-Keane
is a Welsh animator interested in detail and scale. His work seeks to push the potential of the tools he has available, whether they be digital or analog, to create unique and immersive moving images. The natural world, specifically the cascading audio-visual phenomena created by plants, animals, and the elements, are a major creative inspiration for his artistic practice.His most recent film, Thou Canst Ever Return, was created during his study at the Royal College of Art, London.
