The Wolf Creek Anthem Project was a community endeavor made possible by a grant awarded by the Upstate California Creative Corp. The Wolf Creek Community Alliance, along with accomplished composer Alexis Alrich, brought to Nevada County an orchestral suite consisting of ten pieces of classical music, all with the aim of bringing attention and awareness to the Wolf Creek watershed. Wolf Creek is a vital part of the natural ecosystem, flowing from Banner Mountain through Grass Valley, and has been historically impacted by mining activity and human intervention. The suite was made public with two special performances, during which the community was invited to participate.
