The golden-shouldered parrot holds the dubious honor of being among Australia’s most endangered birds. On a private cattle ranch, “Artemis Station”, work is underway to prevent their decline. Pastoralist Sue Shepherd has been collecting breeding data on the parrots for the last forty years, and the information she gathers on her nest-checks today will be instrumental in saving the golden-shouldered parrot.
