Join the Corvallis Environmental Center on November 12, 2026 at the Whiteside Theater for their Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour event, a night of engaging films, a community gathering, and a night of inspiration to help everyone continue on their journey to act on behalf of our planet and humanity.

Corvallis Environmental Center (CEC) is a community-based, educational nonprofit that has prioritized partnerships to implement programs to address community needs since 1994. CEC’s mission is to create a healthy, sustainable community. They do this through pre-K through 8th environmental education, Farm to School programs, youth leadership development, teacher training, and food security.

CEC’s programs include after school programs, summer camps, NaturePlay preschool in Avery Park, and classroom education and field trips in partnership with school districts in Benton and Linn Counties. They offer family programs and events including summer concerts and a fall film festival, and operate a 1-acre demonstration and education garden in Starker Arts Park known as SAGE. The food grown at SAGE is donated to those in need through their social service partner agencies.

Karen DeWolfe, Corvallis Environmental Center’s Outreach Coordinator, says, “Hosting WSFF helps inspire our community to keep working on behalf of our beautiful planet. We get to watch stories that share how other people have faced problems and conflict, and experience how they have made progress. We believe this helps inspire our community to stay engaged, to not give up, and to keep moving forward. WSFF ticket sales fund our nature programs scholarship fund, and Food for Families program, so all kids have the opportunity to access our camps, and NaturePlay Preschool, and we can grow more food at SAGE (our education garden) for people most in need.”
When asked what her favorite thing about putting on this event is, Karen replied, “Seeing our community gather and leave the theatre reenergized, recognizing that we are not alone in our actions, and there is power in the collective.”
