Artist Statement
I am a portrait and art nude photographer local to Nevada County.The Empty Nest was a deeply personal project. The image represents love, hope, loss and life.The earth is our nest. Without her we cannot survive, much less reproduce. The woman in this image is struggling to bring forth life from her womb, but as long as there is still hope, anything is possible. I am reminded that humans are capable of great change through awareness and our worldly nest needs each of us to do our part.
